There is no way you body will burn off fat when starches are present. A general rule to follow is that if it's a white food, don't eat it (exception being cauliflower).

DASH Your Way to Weight Loss and Better Health

Snacks during the day of nuts and yogurt can be added to hit the 2000 calorie target.


More meals are suggested at the National Institutes of Health website. The NIH also recommends starting an exercise program to go along with the DASH diet to improve your overall health and speed up the weight loss.
